Fun stuff! I like how you generated the assassin. The system reminds me of ToP a little, I guess they're similar, right? Maybe Boundless is also inspired by the Grief Engine, which I only know from ToP.
Thank you! I liked the assassin a lot, they seemed dangerous enough to offer a good fight.
It must be my own predilections coming through. Boundless for sure is inspired by Cairn and Year Zero Engine. My time with Boundless has pointed me into the direction to use Carin “all attacks hit” combat for Ghelador (Those core rules are getting fine tuned now).
Me too! I seriously made a note when I first read it that I might "houserule" it and use Stats (because the Hit system would work well for less or more damage etc). I decided to play "as written" first and was hooked.
(I had even tried Cairn before but it did not gel with me then.)
I played an earlier version of Boundless last year with my fiance and kids, it did have roll to hit then! Between this and Armor being flat rather than a roll (a house rule I apply to Mörk Borg, which I love!) it really smoothes combat out and makes combat feel like a risk.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed all attacks hit myself. Roll to hit felt like such an intricate part of TRPGs till I played Boundless.

Ohh, nice! I haven't played either, but always read great things about them, especially Cairn.
Excited for Ghelador!
Dude! There are so many bits that I add in and I'm like "Jake is going to f-ing love this!" (As I hope any Souls fans would).
My wife asked me "What the heck is an Invasion? Sounds kinda weird."
Ohhh, can’t wait!
That’s my wife’s reaction to anything gaming related hahah
Really cool turn travel into tracking. Love how easy it is to take Boundless concepts into any area you need.
Thank you! I totally agree - so much room to adjust.
